Weekend wrap-up!

This weekend was a great time with family and friends! Of course I started off with working Friday night and Saturday morning but luckily I was able to enjoy the rest of the weekend!

On Saturday night, I headed off for dinner with one of my best friends Brittni. I have known Brittni since 1st grade and we have been friends ever since. She has been working a lot of hours recently so it was so nice to be able to see her. We met up and drove up to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and we saw one of our friends from high school, Elena! It was really nice to see Elena as well, I don't know if I've even seen her since high school graduation...

Lucky for us, Elena is a manager at Ruby Tuesdays and gave us some free dessert! It was delicious!

Brittni, had some wonderful cheesecake!

While I opted for the chocolate cake! Yum, it was delicious!

After we finished (most) of our yummy desserts, we headed over to the movie theatre to see The Campaign.

This movie was absolutely hysterical. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great laugh. Will Ferrel is always funny, in my personal opinion and Zach Galifinakis could not be more perfect for his role. The entire movie was very weird but left both of us in a great mood when we left. I honestly cannot recommend it more. Of course it's completely stupid, but what movie including either of these guys isn't?!

On Sunday, my family celebrated my brother's birthday. Since his birthday was on Monday and he had to work, we went to lunch a day early. Originally we planned on going to Crazy Burger in Narragansett  but there was a huge wait so we headed to the Mews Tavern in Wakefield instead. I was very happy with the change in venue because the Mews is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. We ate upstairs in the bar and had a great lunch!

I had an appetizer for my meal, Buffalo Chicken Dip. This is one of my favorite dishes, so delicious! Dan built his own burger, my dad ate a ceaser salad and chili, and my mom had french onion soup and cheesy bread sticks. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals as well and we all were able to enter a drawing at the restaurant being held by Budweiser. However, none of us won =(

After lunch it was time to head home and have Dan open his presents from us.

Dan is so difficult to shop for. My gift to him was a Cabela's gift card because I wasn't entirely sure what he would want! Can you guess which envelope my gift came in? =)

Finally on Sunday night I headed out with my good friend Kristin. We decided to eat at our old favorite place, Applebees. It was so nice to get together and chat with her because she is leaving on a big trip next week! So excited for her! =)
