Spreading Christmas Cheer

Remember when I mentioned that I was sending out cards for Holiday Mail for Heroes?

Well I was able to get my work in on the project and I collected cards for the last week from kids that I teach and their families. I collected 100 cards! It was a great way to get in the holiday spirit.

I'm sending them out first thing tomorrow, they are due in by Saturday so if you want to send a card (or 100) you still have time! Go here to read all about the program and how to send in your card.

I also have a few items to pick up for my works "adopt-a-family". Every year we provide gifts for a family from our community. This year since we are always able to provide so much due to the number of students we have- the organization gave us two families so there is plenty for us to buy and give to them this holiday season.

I love picking out things for the kids because I know it truly makes their holiday and playing Santa is super fun! =)

What are you doing to give back this year???

  1. I absolutely love the "adopt-a-family" idea!
I'm donating lots of toys at our local charity - love the holiday season and hope everyone puts a little something back into the community.
