I was extremely lucky that when they cancelled school on Friday, my work followed suit. I guess working with children has a few benefits =) Later on Friday, they called off work for Saturday morning- and I stayed snowed in all day yesterday which was just lovely!
I couldn't believe it on Friday night when my windows started to frost over- a really snowed-in kind of night!
Then on Saturday morning when I woke up snow PILED outside my window? Insane!
Obviously since I live in Rhode Island I have spent a ton of time in snow storms but this one was the biggest I've ever seen! They were comparing it to the blizzard of 1978 and spent the night reporting the breaking news. Thank goodness- we didn't lose power although the internet didn't work through the night but we were extremely lucky since it seemed like everyone around us lost power!
The snow made me really happy because it created a nice long weekend for me and Roxy =)
Although Roxy wasn't thrilled about all the cold, white stuff especially since it was taller than she is!
I also couldn't keep up with shoveling her a path as fast as she would have liked...but she certainly liked the belly rubbing time she got once we arrived back inside!
Hopefully today we'll be able to get out of our driveway and go somewhere- but if not I guess being forced to stay inside isn't all that bad =)
