Guess what guys?!
I've officially signed up for my first 10K!
The Rainbow Race is something that I did last year and means a lot to my family and community. I am excited to support such an important cause and do this race for the second year in a row. That being said- last year I wasn't sure I could complete a 5K running. I walked the entire 5K with my friend Rachel and her boyfriend Ant and had a great time. This year I plan on running the 10K- which is extremely scary but I'm taking on the challenge!
My co-worker (and friend) Kaitlin (who I ran the Turkey Trot with) is the one who has peer pressured me into signing up for the 10K, so she will be running it with me!
Now to find a training plan that will work for me... I have a little under 2 months to train...
I'm hoping that perhaps there are some iphone apps out there like the 5K runner app I used to train for my 5K. I will have to do a little research- but will let you know if I find anything good!
