Mom is home!

As you may have read on here before- my parents have a house in Florida where they live for some of the year. My mom has been gone for a month and came home yesterday! My dad is still in Florida for a few more weeks, but my mom is home for a little bit! She will head back down to meet my dad and drive home towards the end of the month and they will be home for good!

It is so nice to have her around- even though we've only spent a few hours together. I love spending time with my mom!

Anyways, back to yesterday. I managed to find the cell phone waiting lot at T.F Greene airport for the first time! I was pretty stoked about that because I had no idea that such a thing even existed!

Roxy was pretty stoked about seeing her mommy. I think she missed her terribly...

I read a novella yesterday that is actually related to The Selection, it is called The Prince and actually tells the same story as The Selection except from Prince Maxon's point of view. I love when authors allow you to see into a different characters mind. It is nice to understand what a different character is thinking and see how they felt in a scene you've previously read. It didn't retell the entire story and I wish that it had continued further than it did.

If you read The Selection (which if you haven't you definitely should!), you might be wondering how Maxon was feeling through the entire selection process and this novella definitely covers his thoughts. I was especially interested in seeing how he felt when he met America for the first time. Kiera Cass definitely included additional details about Maxon's relationship with his father and other relatives and friends which I found really interesting. It gave me a better sense of where he came from.

At the end of the novella there is a preview for The Elite which is the next book coming out on April 23rd. I didn't read it however. I used to ALWAYS read previews at the end of novels, but over the past couple years I have stopped because I know I will be reading the same thing soon enough anyways and I don't want to spoil anything! However I can't wait for the next book to be out... April 23rd seems so far away!

I have a ton of books on my to-read list right now. I thought I would share my to-read list in case anyone out there is looking for a book to read. Note that I haven't read any of these novels but all of them came recommended to me by friends/family/blogs.
