I hope all of you had a wonderful mother's day weekend and all you moms, moms-to-be, grandmas, mother figures, and everyone else had a wonderful time with family and friends!
We follow a routine every mothers day and this year was no different.
Ever since my grandma passed away back in 2005, we visit the cemetery every year. After we spend some time at my grandma's stone, we head off to visit my great-grandma in her nursing home. I mentioned back in the fall that my great-grandma had her 100th birthday, and we are pretty sure she will be making it to 101 this fall!
It always makes me feel good once we have gone to visit her, it must be hard getting older- I'm not quite sure that I'd want to live to the age of 100! She is definitely still pretty sharp for getting older- in fact one of my cousins was talking too much so she requested that he might rather go outside. She is very funny for 100 =)
While everyone else crowded in the shade of the nursing home patio- I enjoyed the sunshine!
Afterwards, I headed to Mystic Pizza with my mom, papa, and two uncles. We were stuck in a bit of traffic waiting for the Mystic drawbridge to be lowered, and got stuck behind this little cutie.
How cute right?!
It was so nice to have dinner with some of my favorite people- it really ended the day on a great note!
I hope you all had a great weekend as well!
