For The Love Of Cardigans!

Anyone else out there obsessed with cardigans like me?!

95% of my outfits have some sort of cardigan involved. I find them easy to wear to work and often pair them with a tanktop or t-shirt that would be too casual for work.

I wear them while out with friends, out on date nights and on days just doing errands.

I wear them in all colors, but love a good neutral cardigan so it matches everything.

Cardigans for the win! I find that they are my most worn item in my closet and investing in them never hurts. I wear them until they are completely worn out. If you would like specific information on each one pictured above I would be glad to share, just let me know!

Have a great day!

Emma Elizabeth

On Monday January 25th a beautiful little girl entered our world!

At lunch I went to visit Brittni in the hospital because she was in labor with her little girl! Emma wasn't due till the beginning of February but I had actually thrown out the guess that she would be born on January 25th and lo and behold, I won!

Over the past few days I've loved every single picture that I've seen of this little girl and I can't wait to see her again. I can't wait to watch her grow up, she's such a sweetie!

Welcome to the world Emma Elizabeth!

Friday Favorites!

It's finally Friday! Woohoo! I don't know about you but I'm always ready for the weekend! I thought I  would start this weekend off by sharing a few of the things I've been loving lately.

Last weekend I shared this book Spark Joy by Marie Kondo that I received in my Pop Sugar Must Have box. I have been reading and loving this book, it shows so many awesome ways to organize anything and everything. I think that everyone should take a look at Marie Kondo's books and learn to get their life organized!

I started taking vitafusion women's vitamins on a daily basis and I'm loving them. Anything that comes in a gummy form definitely helps me remember to take it. I'm also appreciating that they seem to be keeping me healthy (knock on wood) during this cold season!

Isn't she beautiful? I used a TJ Maxx gift card I got for Christmas to purchase a new Michael Kohrs bag. I chose this bag since it was big enough to hold my planner and fit all my other items inside. It's also an easily cleanable fabric and I think looks gorgeous! I'm so excited to have a new bag because it's been awhile since I got a new one.

New year, new planner! I am once again using an Erin Condren planner. I have used other planners in the past and tried a couple of others recently but I just love the way the Erin Condren is set up. I love the labels they provide so I can color code my calendar. Organization at its finest!

Those are a few things I've been loving lately, what have you been loving?

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Making Room For Tim: Part 1

I mentioned last week in my What's Coming blog post that Tim was moving in and I needed to start making room for him. So I spent a night last week re-arranging the furniture. I am one of those girls who cannot wait for anyone else to help me and insists on dragging the furniture around on my own. So here is an updated room tour:

I'm lucky to have a pretty spacious bedroom, however my queen size bed takes up quite a bit of room.  By rotating my bed this direction, Tim gets something he wanted- being sideways to the tv. This is apparently very important in boy-land!

I switched my bookshelf and cube storage so the tv would be lower (again- apparently important in boy-world) and although I don't love the setup it is only temporary until we move out into our own place in May. Notice on the bookshelf there are significantly less there! I got rid of so many photo albums which has not only saved me space but has allowed me to organize my photos in a way that makes so much more sense.

Here's a view of one side of my closet, we will get into the dresser in just a minute.

I moved all of my tanktops up onto my dress rack, so now I only take up half of the low hanging rack. I didn't end up getting rid of anything, I simply just rearranged items for now.

A different view of my closet, I have folded clothes on the second shelf now and my shoes are all grouped onto the top shelf. There is definitely more organization I can do, but that will come with time and I'm sure once Tim brings everything of his here I may be doing some more organization.

I emptied out three of my dresser drawers! I have two drawers on the top filled with my items, but everything else has room for Tim's clothes!

You saw on Monday during my Day In The Life post that I purchased some plastic organizers for Tim's clothes so hopefully we will have all the space we need. Once we move out I will be looking for permanent furniture, but for now plastic will do!

When you moved in with your boyfriend/girlfriend did you have to do a bunch of organizing? What was the hardest part of moving in together?

I hope you are all having a great day and I'll be back with some Friday Favorites later in the week!

A Day In The Life!

Well how did we end up back at Monday?! I hope you all enjoyed the snowy (or not so snowy where you are) weekend and are ready for the week to begin. I decided last week to do a day in the life post inspired by Mix and Match Mama (Shay Shull). I love when she shares what a typical day looks like for her. Last Wednesday I decided to take part and share a typical day for me from beginning to end. It was a pretty boring day, nothing terribly exciting but here we go!

7:35 and time to leave for work! I keep my morning routine really simple- get dressed, pack my lunch, do my morning makeup/brush teeth/ etc and then I'm off to work.

On my way in I stopped for a coffee at Dunkin. I often stop to get coffee so I can keep my energy up throughout the day.

Some views of my office- nothing too exciting. My coffee and chapstick and my bulletin board with pictures of some of my favorite people! I haven't done too much decorating since I moved into my new office but I'm trying to make it a little more homey.

Here's just a glimpse at my planner for this particular week and January. I love using the different colored labels to keep track of different events throughout the month.

Around 3:08 I was pretty much done with being at work. Do any of you hit that afternoon slump?

After work I headed to Home Depot to make a key for Tim,

Then to TJMaxx to buy a new purse with a gift card,

and Walmart to buy plastic bins for storage.

I also stopped at Stop and Shop to pick up some groceries and then went to Trivia at Wood River Inn.

I had a delicious meal of penne vodka pasta with spinach and a tollhouse cookie pie for dessert. Yum! We actually tied for first this week, but lost the tie breaker and ended up with second place. I love going to trivia each week, it's always a good time.

Once I got home it was shower time. Here I am with my turbie twist, the best invention for wet hair ever!

I put away a few things I had bought that day, particularly the storage bins in my closet...and....

In bed by 11:16! That's my from beginning to end. Nothing exciting, but that's a day in my life. I hope you enjoyed!
