July Empties

I think empties are my favorite type of post to do and see other people do. I love knowing which products are worth spending money on and which ones aren't.

Here are all the products I finished up this past month.

Lets start with some household products

I have been loving Tide Pods except for the child-proof ziploc container. I swear this bag is Melissa-proof because I end up just ripping the bag open most of the time.

Softsoap lavender and chamomile is just okay. I'm not super picky about my soap and this I managed to pick up while couponing so you know that  I didn't pay much for it!

Bounce dryer sheets are great and the only dryer sheets that I will use. I will keep purchasing them in the future.

I'm still using the Dawn dish soap in the New Zealand scent which is a beautiful teal color. I keep choosing this one because it looks pretty on my sink and smells great!

I love using these little Gain vent clips in my car and this one smells great and just like laundry! I've already picked up another.

These Lysol wipes in the purple container aren't my favorite they don't smell great and I'm glad to get back to the yellow and green container wipes.

I finished a container of bleach which I use once a week when I do a load of whites. I'm not picky with where my bleach comes from it's all the same!

I used up a container of Purex which I like but it's something I grew up using. I do feel Tide works a little better and I do like pods better then carrying a bottle of detergent either downstairs or to the laundromat.

Lastly for household products I used a Method Bathroom Spray which I think is just okay. I will be trying some other bathroom cleaning products in the future!

I finished two candle this month and I liked both of them a lot. The Bath and Body Works candle in Mahogany Coconut was really nice and had a musty scent to it. The coconut candle is something I received as a gift and I have a second one I'm currently burning right now. I thought it was a really cool concept but didn't last very long and also didn't have much of a scent.

I thought the da Bomb Party Bomb was very cool and the company seems to be run by two teenage girls which is awesome! There was a tiny little dinosaur inside which was cute and the pineapple scent was great. I would definitely try other bath bombs from this line.

Bath and Body Works Aruba Coconut shower gel is great and even Tim used it! I love anything coconut scented and this was no exception.

I used the Olay moisturizer regularly and thought it was great for my sensitive skin. I am going to try some other things but I would definitely consider buying this in the future. I love that it's a small container with a pump since it's a little more sanitary then a container you dip your fingers into!

I used up four cake batter chapsticks. That's not a lot for me at all which is great because I tend to fly through these!

I almost finished a pack of Pacifica face wipes but they ended up drying up before I could use them all. They were okay and took off the majority of my makeup and did not burn my eyes at all which is good. I may repurchase them in the future but I didn't find them amazing or anything.

I really liked the Make eye makeup remover and would consider purchasing it in the future. I have quite a few other eye makeup removers to try right now though so I'm not planning on buying anything soon.

I purchased this Pacifica mascara when I bought the wipes and thought it was just okay. The wand was super thick and not what I prefer to put on mascara with. I don't think I'll be repurchasing this in the future although I did like it was a natural makeup product.

Quite a few hair products this month!

The Living Proof Shampoo and Conditioner was just okay, nothing too special. I did love the Living Proof Restore Spray which I used as a heat protectant. It smelled great and I thought my hair looked great!

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo smells amazing and I would definitely purchase it full size in the future. (Also apparently Blake Lively uses it and she has unbelievable hair so there's that)

The Briogeo Shampoo and Parlor Conditioner I used at the same time and they were both just okay. I won't be purchasing full sizes of them and were happy to just get them out of my collection quite honestly.

A product I will definitely repurchase is the Moroccanoil Smoothing Cream. I received this for Christmas and it was awesome. I love Moroccanoil products and I will definitely be getting more of them in the future.

Only one mini lotion this month. I loved Bath and Body Works A Thousand Wishes! This scent was great and I kept it in my drawer at work which made a lot of people want to use it! I received a lot of compliments on how nice it was so I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future!

The one declutter item I had this month was Avene cleanance gel which had expired back in February. I decided not to mess with this since I don't want to put any expired products on my face!

That's it for this month's empties! I'll see you guys later this week with my next post!

Life Lately

Only a couple of things to share with you guys in this Life Lately post!

The most exciting event was attending Brittni and Stephen's Gender Reveal! I went to Brittni's dad's house along with her family members  to find out what their second baby will be. Emma wasn't overly thrilled to be part of a photo shoot but it was a super cute event.

Brittni's sister Katie filled the box with black and white balloons to throw us all off, I thought they were dark blue at first!

Then came the pink ribbon so we knew it was a girl! Emma is going to have a little sister! <3

Emma didn't like being in the box either. She was super tired poor thing.

I am so thrilled to be a part of this family's life and can't wait to meet the newest little girl!

Tim's sister got a kitten who I met the other day.....

Pip is adorable! She was a little scared of us at first but she made us want to get a kitten so badly!

We had a goodbye party for one of my co-workers at Whalers Brewery which was super fun. I didn't take any other pictures but we had a great time despite it being super hot in there!

Lastly, just a funny picture...

I found these in the grocery store and just thought it was funny since it was our names =)

That's all for today, enjoy your day!

What's In My Bag (Summer Edition)

Happy Monday loves! Today I'm sharing a summer edition of What's In My Bag. Earlier this summer I picked up a $20 cross body bag from Target, nothing fancy just a lightweight bag that I can carry throughout the summer months. You may know by now that I love big bags. I love being able to carry everything I need however I don't love how my shoulders hurt after lugging it around all day.

I'm glad I only paid $20 for this bag because it's already begun to rip. I will be back in my Michael Kors bags soon enough (they are my favorite brand and hold up SO well).

There are two small pockets in the font. The first and smallest one holds one item (well, two if my cell phone is in my bag however it will go unpictured since I was using it to take these pictures)

Cake Batter Chapstick always stays in my bag and I use it multiple times a day.

The second pocket holds q-tips, hair ties, bobby pins, medicine, a converter for my phone, and this funny notepad my mom picked up for me.

In the big pocket I keep my Michael Kors wallet, pens, sunglasses, keys, a 4 leaf clover and another bag I'll show you the contents of next...

Sunscreen, floss, more hair ties, a mirror, eyeliner, hand sanitizer, bandaids, lotion and a rollerball perfume all hang out in this little bag. I love to keep this stuff with me because you never know when you're going to need it.

I do keep quite a few items inside my bag because I always want to be prepared but I used to carry a lot more-- including my heavy Erin Condren planner!

Have a great day!

Life Lately

Happy Monday everyone! I'm here this morning to share with you what I've been up to lately! I haven't done one of these posts in a couple of weeks so I thought I would share some of my randomness with you!

On 4th of July we went to the playground with Brittni, Stephen and Emma. Emma loves climbing so she had a blast. It was a pretty hot day so some of the equipment was super hot to the touch (especially when sliding down the big slides with someone on your lap!)

It wasn't only the baby having a good time! The adults enjoyed the playground as well. We had it to ourselves the entire time which was great since we were enjoying sandwiches from a local deli and took turns sitting at the picnic table eating.

Emma loved climbing the stairs of this huge slide (with someone right behind her of course!) and then sitting on our lap as we slid down. She has no fear and would totally try to do it on her own.

This picture is from when Emma spotted both her parents on the swings. She thought it was hilarious :)

This kid makes some of the best faces <3

We didn't do fireworks or anything on 4th of July but ended up hanging around the rest of the day which was perfect for a random Tuesday!

I also had a visitor at my office this week! This is Emma sitting at my desk doing my job for me.

She looks super tired in these pictures but check out that super cool Ninja Turtle shirt!

We had breakfast out at The Breakfast Nook which was delicious! This one is in North Kingstown and they have delicious home fries that rival the ones Tim makes at home.

I forgot to take a picture of my food but trust me it's amazing!

We also had a picnic at Goddard park with Ally and Derek. It was a fun afternoon playing wiffle ball and hanging out in the park.

I had a cute visitor during lunch one day at work last week! Tilly and Rachel met us for lunch and this little love sat in my lap and stared down everyones food. Rachel said she is starting to eat solid foods and you could just tell she wanted to steal all the food!

How cute is she?

Here is a yummy breakfast made by Tim. It was delicious yesterday morning!

Yesterday we also went to Mulligan's Island so Tim could do the driving range. It was super hot outside but Tim got quite a bit of practice hitting a whole basket of golf balls.

I sat in the shade and read a book on my phone :)

I also wanted to share with you guys other things I'm up to lately...

Binge Watching: Game of Thrones and Younger. Tim and I are watching Game of Thrones together we are only on season 1 but so far it's very interesting! Younger is the show I'm watching on my own and I am absolutely loving it! It's such a cute show and I love Hilary Duff.

Currently Reading: The Beach Club by Elin Hilderbrand. It's not my favorite of her novels but it was the first book she wrote which is pretty cool. I'm about a third of the way through and so far am liking (not loving) it.

Planning: Our Disney Trip! We were able to choose our fast passes on Friday night! I am so excited for September!

Hope you guys have a great start to your week!

Worms In The Dirt

A couple of weeks ago we attended a Pretty Little Liars finale party.

Besides the fact that the finale was amazing and suspenseful we had some awesome food to eat!

I decided to make worms in the dirt and thought I would share it with you guys :)

Ingredients Needed:
1 Container of Oreos
1 Bag of Gummy Worms
2 Cups of Cold Milk
1 3.9ounce pack of instant pudding
8 ounces of cool whip

First I crushed up an entire package of oreos. I put the oreos inside a ziplock bag and crushed them by just squeezing them. You can take a rolling pin as well which might make it much easier.

I cooked a package of Jell-o chocolate pudding but instant pudding may be a faster way to do this. I accidentally grabbed a regular package so I just cooked it on the stove and then waited for it to cool down a bit.

Once the pudding was cooled I added cool whip and half of the oreos and mixed everything up.

I poured my mixed concoction into my bowl and put gummy worms and the rest of the oreos across the top.

An easy dessert that is super delicious!

Dining in East Greenwich

Last week we visited three local restaurants that were new to us and I thought I would blog about them!

The first we visited late on Wednesday night..

The Trap is located near Goddard Park in East Greenwich and is always packed whenever we drive by so we have been dying to try it (Tim especially). So on Wednesday night when Tim suggested we go I was game to give it a try.

The atmosphere was great and it was pretty crowded but we were able to be seated right away. We sat outside on the patio where they had a musician singing and playing guitar. The music was great, the food was awesome and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. I wish I had taken additional pictures because the outdoor fireplaces were gorgeous.

I forgot to take pictures of the food as well but I ate a french dip sandwich which was great and Tim had the Trap Burger and he enjoyed his as well.

On Thursday night we went to Feast Sandwich Co. which is located right on Main Street in East Greenwich.

Feast is a tiny little sandwich shop and when we went inside we were the only ones there.

It's very eclectic inside and the menu was different then what I was expecting.

We ordered after a few minutes and got some popcorn to snack on which was a nice surprise!

I ordered the Mexicana which is a hot dog with cheddar cheese, fresh pico de gallo, crumbled tortilla chips, jalapeño peppers and soft cotija cheese. I ordered it without the pico de gallo because I'm not a huge fan of it but the hot dog was amazing! The curly fries were great too!

Look how delicious it is!

Tim ordered the Labriola and he said it was good but he wished he had ordered one of the burgers.

It was a delicious meal and I think we will definitely be back for more meals there!

Yesterday we decided to eat breakfast out at a local diner.

Jiggers is located right on Main Street in East Greenwich. Tim suggested we try it and while the food was delicious it was not my favorite breakfast spot. It may have been totally different if we waited for a booth but instead we took stools at the counter and man they were super uncomfortable. I couldn't get comfortable the entire meal and couldn't wait to be done!

They serve flavored coffee and this particular morning happened to be Snickerdoodle which was very tasty.

I ordered a cheddar cheese and bacon omelet along with homefries and white toast. All of my food was delicious.

Tim had the Bacon Cheddar Waffle-wich and home fries and thought his food was delicious as well.

If we go back I will definitely insist on getting a booth so I am more comfortable!

Where have you eaten lately? Any amazing local restaurant?
