Disney Vacation Part Seven: Hollywood Studios

My favorite park for as long as I can remember has been Hollywood Studios (formerly known as Disney MGM studios). I always loved the movies and the idea of being a famous actress even though as a kid I was painfully shy and never could've lived a life like that. I still love this park for the rides inside and even though I'm disappointed that many of the rides I grew up with have been removed I am excited for the worlds they are creating for future enjoyment.

This tanktop is from Old Navy and has been one of my favorites for years. Fun fact: I actually wore this tanktop on my first date with Tim! My white shorts are LC Lauren Conrad from Kohls.

Are you getting the idea now that we were able to get a ton of pictures out of this PhotoPass deal?! I'm telling you- totally worth it!

The first thing we did was head down Sunset Blvd and take advantage of our first fastpass- Rock'n'Roller Coaster. We took some pictures in front of the Tower of Terror since we had some time and figured we would take advantage.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip and I've already ordered it to frame so stay tuned for an update to our gallery wall.

Before our trip Tim said that Rock'n'Roller Coaster was his favorite ride and he remembered it being so much fun. After we rode it he said that he remembered it being more impressive. We both agreed that it's still fun but when you are younger it definitely feels faster.

We also got confused between hang loose and rock on. We are so not cool.

After riding we needed some breakfast so we headed to the Starbucks at the end of Sunset Blvd before watching the Beauty and The Beast Show!

I absolutely love this show I have been watching it since I was little and have loved it every time. If you don't already know, Beauty and The Beast is my favorite movie of all time so I pretty much love everything that has to do with it.

Once the show was over we decided to hop in the standby line for Tower of Terror.

We ended riding once in the standby line and then riding again with fast passes. This has been my favorite ride for years. I love the feeling in my stomach during drops and love how much background is put into this ride. Disney does such a great job at making you feel like you are part of a story not just standing in a line waiting for a ride.

After agreeing that our second run was much better (love that the ride is randomized) we decided to head over to Star Wars Launch Bay to meet some Star Wars Characters.

I'm going to say something that might shock you. I am not a huge fan of Star Wars. In fact, I had never seen any of the movies until I met Tim. That being said, neither of us are obsessed with Star Wars. Tim likes it, but he's definitely not an obsessed fan. However, we were excited to meet the characters and did wait in lines to do so.

I knew there was a special line for Visa members but stood in all the lines and couldn't find it. After we finished we found the line and found out it was just a back way in to see Kilo Ren, meaning we didn't have to stand in line. Oh well!

Next we headed over to Toy Story Midway Mania which had a long line but we decided to stand it anyways since it's so cute.

Toy Story Midway Mania is a 3D game ride where you try to get a better score then your partner during a ton of games. It's a lot of fun and Tim kicked my butt yet again.

We also snooped over the wall to see what was going on with the new Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land..

Lots of cool things to come!

At this point we were feeling pretty hungry and decided to see if we could get in for lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive In without reservations and we could!

If you've never been inside it's a restaurant that looks like a drive in movie theatre. It plays previews for old movies, mini clips from movies, and a bunch of old fashion movie theatre clips. We actually sat in the backseat of a car while a couple we didn't know sat in the front which was a little strange!  It was a fun experience and the food was good.

I had spinach and artichoke dip and it was delicious!

After lunch we rode Star Tours which was just as I remembered. It's not my favorite ride but definitely a classic.

We went to Muppet 3D Vision (an old favorite) and then stood in line to meet Olaf from Frozen who was super cute!

It's so fun that they constantly introduce new characters and new experiences. By the time we go back with kids someday it will probably be totally different!

After meeting Olaf and giving him some warm hugs we watched the Indiana Jones show and then headed back to the hotel to rest before our exciting dinner......
