Less than a week of being engaged and we headed off on our venue search! We wanted to plan for a fall wedding and to make that a possibility we knew we needed to head off on our venue search immediately!
On a Saturday we made an appointment at a local venue and also decided to drive around Newport and check out some places on the beach as well.
Our first stop was the Quonset O Club which is local for us which would've been extremely convenient.
With this venue we had an option to have the ceremony inside or outside. I really wanted to have an outdoor ceremony so I wasn't really considering this room but it is where the indoor ceremony would be.
The reception room was huge and had plenty of room for our guests. I thought the room was a little dark for my taste but I wasn't totally against it since they run tons of functions there. The family who runs it was so nice and welcoming and I knew if we had our wedding there we would be well taken care of.
We knew it was an option but weren't totally in love with it. SO we headed across the bridge to Newport to check out an option we saw online.
The Newport Rotunda is a town property directly on First Beach. Complete with an outdoor ceremony steps from the sand, a carousel for our use during our cocktail hour, and a gorgeous ballroom for our reception it made it the perfect choice.
So we fell in love with this venue and we booked our date! Get ready because we will be getting married on October 20th and I will be sharing every step with you guys! :)
