Our Wedding: Wedding Haul

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I'm here to share a huge wedding haul! I have a ton of items that I've picked up over the last five months and have been storing them in our second bedroom which I've dubbed the "wedding room"

I realized I haven't been really good about sharing things as we've bought them so that's what we're going to do now.

The first thing I have to share is our cake stand. We previously picked out our cake and are just doing a small cake that we can cut for pictures. I just wanted to get a simple cake stand, super cheap so I head to HomeGoods where I found a plain white cake stand.

It's just super simple and I think will make our cake be the part that stands out- I would hate for a super flashy cake stand to steal the moment from our beach cake!

Next up are these gorgeous wooden trays which I will be filling with sand and sand dollars. The sand dollars will be our guests place cards. I think this will look super pretty and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Here are the sand dollars for the place cards. I will be writing everyones names on them along with the table numbers once we have that information settled.

I'm not sure what is going to go into this fame but I think it's super cute and will look great!

This sign came from either TJ Maxx or Marshalls and will be part of our decor. I'm thinking it will go  on the table with our guest book.

This sign also came from TJ Maxx or Marshalls and I am planning on putting it on our sweetheart table.

These are our flower girl baskets! I picked up two of these from Amazon, we have three flower girls but one will only be 10 months old so she won't be holding one!

Our ring bearers will be carrying these Ring Security Briefcases from TheKnot. They will be so cute carrying them!

Our favors to our guests are these Photo Booth magnets. We booked a photo booth for our reception and we will be putting these at everyones place settings so they can take their photos home with them.

I decided early on that I did not want to have real flowers during our wedding since they are so expensive. I  ordered these bouquets from Afloral.com and they were super cheap and I think they will do the job just fine. No need for expensive flowers that will die the next day!

I had an accessory appointment at Alexandra's and found this gorgeous hairpiece that I will be wearing on my wedding day. I will be wearing my hair half up half down and can't wait to see how it turns out!

Lastly, I picked up these earrings for my wedding day! They are so gorgeous and I can't wait to wear them!

That's all for now- but I'm sure I'll be sharing many more wedding hauls and updates- we are at 82 days until the wedding- woohoo!

Megan and Josh's Belle Mer Wedding

Happy Wednesday friends! So sorry I missed Mondays post- this weekend was a bit busy since it was Megan and Josh's wedding weekend! If you've been following along forever you'll know that Megan was my college roommate and we have stayed friends despite her move across the country! Since the wedding was long distance for Megan and Josh they planned a full weekend of activities for all their wedding guests and we had the BEST time! Tim and I took part in whatever we could and enjoyed every second- we came home on Monday saying how much fun we truly had. So let's start with Friday shall we?

On Friday night Megan and Josh had welcome drinks planned on the roof of the hotel where they were staying. The hotel is The Viking and the bar itself is called Top of Newport. There were lovely views of the sun setting over the Newport bridge and it really was the nicest place for everyone to gather, catch up and just hang out.

It's always a treat to see my other roommate from college, Laura, as well! She is making a big move soon for her job and it was great to hear about her decision to do that and how excited she is.

Always so happy to see these ladies!

And I'm always so glad to have this guy by my side. He is the kindest human being and quickly makes friends with everybody at events like this.

After spending a few hours on the roof hanging out we headed home since we knew we would be back the next night for more fun!

While waiting for everyone to get to Bowen's Wharf we stopped at Diego's where we had some tropical drinks and dinner.

My drink came in a plant pot which was strange but the drink was so good- it was called "getting tiki with it"

I also enjoyed some crack fries which were amazing! I ate almost the entire plate by myself.

Once everyone else arrived we headed over to The Wharf Pub where we were able to chat with family and friends of the bride and groom. We took over almost the entire bar.

We also closed down the bar with the bride and groom!

Tim and I never stay out this late so it was definitely a victory for us!

Sunday was wedding day! We first dropped off our bags at the Mainstay where we booked a room for the night and then headed to The Viking to pick up Laura.

Once arriving at Belle Mer (the wedding location) we learned that the ceremony was moved inside due to the weather. It had been raining on and off and we truly hoped it would stop since Megan wanted to get married outside but unfortunately the weather had plans of its own.

We took our seats and enjoyed a beautiful ceremony where Megan's mom read a poem, her brother and sister sang "I See The Light" from Tangled, Josh's father performed a Celtic Knot ritual and Megan had both her father and grandfather walk her down the aisle. Its was beautiful and short and sweet.

We then were guided into another building where cocktail hour and the reception were held. I loved Megan and Josh's travel theme and the way they incorporated it into their table numbers and seating chart. The cocktail hour had passed hors d'oeuvres, a small band that played and an open bar. We had a great time chatting with friends and taking pictures outside in front of the gorgeous view.

I took a picture below of the area where the ceremony was meant to take place so if Belle Mer is a place you are interested in for an event you can see how beautiful the outdoor area is.

There are also gorgeous fire pits that would be so much fun to hang around outside. We have another wedding here in November and I'm crossing my fingers for a warm November day so we can get outside during the wedding!

For their guest book Megan and Josh had a Polaroid Camera set up and we were able to take pictures and stick them in the guest book. It was a fun thing to do during cocktail hour and kept us busy.

When the hour was up we were ushered into the reception room and found our seats. Once Megan and Josh along with their parents and bridal party were introduced we were able to grab a quick picture with the bride and talk to both her and the groom about how beautiful the wedding was.

They had a band instead of a DJ and it was such a fun change for a wedding! We danced all night long and had the best time. The dance floor was packed the entire night.

Just a quick peek at the room set up!

My place card read The Future Mrs. Gooding! (From today it's 87 days away!)

Megan (like me) is obsessed with Beauty and the Beast and her wedding decor reflected that. She had a yellow rose inside each container with a gold plate underneath. The yellow rose petals and twinkle lights added the effect and it was so gorgeous!

As our favor we were each given a postcard. Very cute to go along with their travel theme.

The father-daughter dance and a view at the other side of the room. Megan started off dancing on her dads feet! :)

I also wanted to quickly share the food with you, The salads we had were delicious (probably because they were covered in cheese)

The steak was incredible and the mashed potatoes were amazing, The vegetables were good, but didn't compare to the rest!

Overall we had an AMAZING time at their wedding and capped it all off with a quick brunch on Monday morning to say goodbye. We were all feeling a little rough by that point but lucky for me I'll be seeing Megan and Laura in just a few short weeks for my bachelorette party!!

Have a great day everybody!

Our Wedding: Invitations

Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week friends- we can do this!

Today I want to share with you my wedding invitations! I am sending them out in the mail this week and am very pleased with how they came out. I ended up ordering them from Minted.com because I found their website to be the most user-friendly and easy for me to customize. I spent quite a bit of time toying with different designs and ended up choosing one that looks like waves but is very subtle and beautiful.

The pack I ordered came with the invitation, RSVP card, RSVP envelope, and outside envelope. They ended up sending me free tissue paper sheets which were great to place inside the envelope to prevent ink transfer.

I chose the floral love stamp from USPS for my envelopes and thought they made it look even nicer!

I am very satisfied with the quality and while we paid quite a bit, the price point was not nearly as high as the price of other invitations I've heard about. They also decided to throw in free addressing of the guest addresses which was amazing and saved me a ton of time!

I decided to also make little cards to ask guests to send in DJ requests which hopefully will be returned in their RSVP cards. Although they don't really fit in with the rest of the invitations I wasn't willing to pay extra for something I can just make at home!

Easy to make and I hope our guests return them so we can get some music ideas!

I also picked out some small stickers at Staples to put on the back of the envelopes and I think it just looks perfect!

.....and here they are ready to go! I can't wait to start getting RSVPs back! :)

Life Lately: All The Babies

No babies for us yet- but we did hang out with some pretty cool babies this weekend!

On Saturday I took care of Emma for a few hours while Brittni went to a bridal shower and this girl loves the baby swing.

I love how her arms are behind her head like that!

She loves her new swings and could play on it all day- it's all she wanted to do!

So much fun- but also exhausting! We had a great day despite her unwillingness to take a nap!

Then yesterday we attended Parker's Baptism!

That girl loves her Uncle Tim!

Parker is such a sweet baby! She's always so happy!

All my favorite babies and my best friends in one picture! Such a fun time :)

I also loved getting all the hugs from Tilly! She is the sweetest- constantly smiling and giggling.

She also loved Uncle Tim- mostly for his beard :)

It was so nice to enjoy the afternoon in Brit's backyard chatting with everyone and watching the kids play in the water.

And eat all the food of course! Girl after my own heart!

Hope you guys had a fabulous weekend as well!
