New House Haul

Good morning everyone!

Today I wanted to share a few things I picked up for our new house! I've been slowly buying things but it's definitely a process. I know there are many things we won't pick up until we actually move into the house and have a space to put them but this is what I've gotten so far.

These two mats were ordered on Amazon and I am obsessed with them! I will be using them at our front door at the new house. I think we will be entering in and out the side door so I need to find another mat for that door but I knew I wanted a home sweet home mat at the front door.

New house means it's time for a new bathroom trash can right? This woven basket is from Target and I think it will look great in our bathroom. Right now we have a darker wastebasket and I am ready to lighten things up.

This sign is on order from Etsy and I am obsessed with it!! It carries so much meaning to me because after all this time it will be so good to finally be home in a house we own!

Last weekend I was at Hobby Lobby and picked up this sign as soon as I saw it I knew it was coming home with me. I'm not sure where it will go yet but I love it!

I purchased this lady bird runner from Amazon but it's all rolled up to make it easier to transport to the house so I don't have a good picture of it. This picture is the full sized rug picture off Amazon but you get the idea. I ordered the runner and my plan is to put it in my hallway. I'm so excited to see how it looks!

I am still in the process of picking things up for the house and will definitely share everything I get with you guys. Let me know if there's anything that you suggest picking up!

I love lists

Guys. I think I have an unhealthy obsession with lists.

Seriously.

While scrolling through my phone I realized between my lists for the new house, my to-buy lists, and everything else I jot down it's something that I should discuss here on the blog. I do everything from using the notes section on my phone, using the app Evernote, and making lists in cute notebooks.

Here's an example of the shopping list I currently have in my phone:

As I'm shopping if I see something I like I'll jot it down if I'm not ready to buy it yet.  Right now I'm thinking of many things that I need to buy for the new house but I can't buy them until we have a place for them to go.

Another set of lists I love to keep are labeled "Adventure" on my Everynote app. I keep track of every  place I've traveled along with a list of all the places I'd like to go. I also like to keep track of the number of states I've traveled to and the number of countries I've traveled to.

I also organize lists of books to read and tv shows to watch. If you saw my list of lists you would think all I do is make lists.

Do you guys make lists in order to stay organized?

Our House Hunting Journey Part 2

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm loving Monday a little more than usual because I have today and tomorrow off! It's a nice little four day weekend to relax and spend time with my husband! The last two days have been so relaxing and nice! As I write this Tim is starting to cook breakfast and I am lounging on the couch.

Today I want to share some exciting news about our house hunting journey that I have debated sharing for awhile now.... we are under contract!!!

We are currently at the stage where the bank asks for a million documents and we are waiting for an appraisal to happen, but our closing date is less than a month off!

Right now, we are focusing on good thoughts as our loan processes. I'm trying to stay calm but I've already started packing :) I will be sharing my packing process and how I'm staying organized while I pack up our apartment.

I think I am unmotivated to share any sort of content in the apartment because I have a TON of ideas for the new house! I will share our house to-do list at some point once we move in. The house is in great condition but there are things we want to do to personalize it and upgrade it and I can't wait to bring you all along on our newest adventure!

Our house is a three bedroom ranch and we are obsessed with it! It is all freshly painted with new doors and new floors in a few of the rooms. I can't wait to move in and hopefully within a month we will be closing and moving out of our apartment of 3+ years and into our very own home!!

I'll keep you updated throughout the process and especially on the DIY projects and decorating that will happen when we get in there.

Keep those fingers crossed for us!

Back To Boston: Red Sox Game Da

Happy Monday loves!

I'm so sorry about another missed week. It's been a combination of work being totally nuts and our huge news that I still can't announce. I'm hoping that a month from today will be the day I can announce it but maybe it will be before, it totally depends on the timing!

Yesterday we headed up to Boston to see a Red Sox game! Tim's sister won tickets in a raffle but couldn't attend since she had to work so we happily accepted the tickets.

We parked near Copley Square in the Clarendon Garage. With a Red Sox ticket it's only $10 to park which is amazing. It was worth the 1.3 mile walk from the parking garage in order to get such a cheap parking price. We were able to walk through Copley Square and through beautiful Boston on a gorgeous day!

We arrived at the field about an hour before game time so we were able to pop in and out of a few stores. It's always so upbeat around the park before game time. There are a million different things going on and the energy is awesome.

I love going on an unexpected adventure with Tim! We had such a great day.

If you've never been to Fenway Park it is 100% worth the visit. It is the most historic ballpark in the MLB and in my opinion (based on what I've seen on tv) the most beautiful.

After a few quick pictures outside and some wandering around we headed to our seats in the grandstand.

We were seated right near Pesky Pole and our seats were pretty good! I love sitting under cover so I don't get burnt.

Even though the Red Sox lost we had such an amazing time!

Once the game was over we headed to Max and Leo's Artisan Pizza right at Fenway. Unfortunately we were ignored for quite some time after we were seated so it started on not a great note.

The nachos were incredible!

We also shared a pizza that I can't remember the name of but it was filled with garlic, chicken and cheese and absolutely delicious!

Unfortunately the service didn't get much better so I wouldn't really recommend going here for dinner but the food was great.

After a great day in Boston we headed home to Rhode Island. The sunset on the drive home was so gorgeous I just had to share some pictures of it.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying these gorgeous August days!
